Iconic scenery combines with haunting historical and geological surroundings to make walking or scrambling in this famous glen an unforgettable experience. The Aonach Eagach or Notched Ridge is one of our more popular destinations and offers a committing and exposed passage around pinnacles and short walls high above the northern length of the valley floor.
Scottish Winter Mountaineering, Aonach Eagach, Glencoe, UK
To the south of the road, good paths lead to the northern ramparts of Bidean, most frequented by winter mountaineering and climbing courses and some of the most challenging routes in the country. Throughout the winter, we choose safe locations based on recent snowfall, terrain and anticipated weather. Our staff are hugely experienced and will always find an appropriate itinerary for your group. Some good days training have been archived here.
